President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. made a strong remark in response to China’s demand for the Philippines to remove its Typhon missile system.
“We don't make any comments on their missile systems and their missile systems are a thousand times more powerful,” he told the reporters on Thursday.
The Typhon missile system was stationed in the Philippines by US forces in April of last year during the Balikatan military exercises and has remained in the country since then, drawing criticism from China, which has consistently demanded its removal.
